Mole Kart Dashes On Google Play. Nintendo Snoozes, Gameloft Approves.
With games like Mass Effect and Shadowgun now on Android phones, our devices are being more and more like mini consoles. But even as the screens on our phones get larger, it is still cumbersome to play with touch controls. Most of the time I find myself covering up my character or parts of the environment with my thumbs when trying to traverse the terrain. But the folks over at PowerA are looking to change that with their new gaming controller, the Moga.

The Moga is a sleek looking bluetooth controller that you can attach your Android phone to. It has a flip-out mid section which acts as a hook for your mobile phone. Being an Onlive subscriber, the Moga reminds me of the official Onlive Universal controller. Below you will see two versions of the Moga. One version is intended to be used on mobile phones while the second Moga controller is designed for tablets. Obviously there isn’t a holder for the tablet on this controller but presumably you would stand the tablet up with something like the ASUS Origami case or something of that nature.
The Moga will feature a companion app that will sort through the list of games you already have installed and tell you which of them are compatible with the controller. Though this looks like a great product, those who don’t want to wait can pick up the Onlive Universal bluetooth controller and (if you’re rooted) play games such as Shadowgun just fine with it. Of course, the Moga bluetooth controller is meant to grant those without root access the same opportunities. The controller should be available this holiday season but the price is still unknown. It shouldn’t be too much longer before we hear prices fly around though.
